Ephel was the leader of a group of Killer-rabbits, whom he was once an Alpha Were Rabbit. These creatures were called Werebels. Some years ago, if not more, in 1995, an event called the Red Blood Eclipse caused Werebels to evolve into Moonbels, a much more powerful version of their previous form. Ephel was one of them. A Red Blood Eclipse happens once every 250 years.
During that year, the Were-Rabbits and Moonbels were at war with Hetranian Direwolves as they were contending species in the Beast Hierarchy Kingdom. Both these creatures rival each other in terms of power, dexterity, agility, and intelligence. But however, A Moonbel's strength and abilities gets boosted 10 fold.
As a Moonbel, Ephel can talk, which is a prime ability as an Alpha Moonbel. He can communicate in both beast and human language.
